Temporary Registration

If you are ill while away from home you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient to receive GP services..

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply follow the link at the bottom of the page or contact reception on 01229 484100 for further advice. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or local area where you are already registered.

If you are not a British Citizen

If you are visiting from abroad  you can be seen by a GP free of charge.

We only accept temporary patients under the following conditions:-

Due to sharing the building with another practice we accept requests for Temporary Registrations during the months of April, August and December or at any other time if you are staying with someone who is already one of our patients.

If you require a GP outside of our usual opening hours (8.00am - 6.30pm) please phone NHS 111
